Daiquiris are the sort of cocktail many people love but do not know how to make. That included me until recently! This peach daiquiri, in particular, however, is completely drama-free. You’ll just need a few minutes in the kitchen with your blender, your favorite white rum, peach schnapps, and some fruit (of course)!

Why You’ll Love This Peach Daiquiri Cocktail

  • Fast and easy: This drink takes only five to ten minutes to prepare and is completely effortless. It’s perfect for a hot summer night!
  • Full of fruity flavor: Are you a big fan of peaches? Especially when they’re in season? Then this is absolutely a drink for you.
  • Familiar ingredients: Nothing out of the ordinary here! You should be able to find everything at your local grocery store or, failing that, a nearby liquor store.

What You’ll Need

  • Alcohol: Rum and peach schnapps are the base of any good peach daiquiri. Specifically, I’d use white rum since dark rum is a little too intense in flavor.
  • Juices: You’ll want lime juice and peach juice for this. I find that freshly squeezed juice is the best, rather than the juice you can get from a bottle at the store, but use what you have!
  • Frozen sliced peaches: These will truly knock that peach flavor home. You can also use canned or even fresh peach slices.
  • Ice: For a delicious cold frozen peach daiquiri!
  • Garnishes: I like to use fresh peaches, cherries, mint sprigs, limes, oranges!

How To Make A Peach Daiquiri

Like most cocktails, this recipe is easy once you know it.

  1. Blend the ingredients. Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Then serve! Pour the mixture into the glasses and garnish.

Variations

  • Give it some spice. Add ginger for a delightful “kick” that’s especially fun around the holidays when you still want something tropical.
  • Change up the fruit. You can also use this recipe to create a daiquiri out of any of your favorite fruits. Just switch out the ingredients, of course.
  • Use coconut water. If you need to dilute the daiquiri, coconut water can do the trick while providing that smooth coconut taste.
  • Make it family-friendly. If you want a “virgin” peach daiquiri, leave out the rum and schnapps. Replace it with more peach juice or coconut water. (At this point, it becomes mostly flavored peach juice, but it’s still very tasty for those who want to avoid alcohol!)

Peach Daiquiri: FAQs

How long does it take to make a peach daiquiri?

Since you’re only blending the ingredients, it’s less than 10 minutes. If you really get the hang of it, it might be less than 5!

How many peach daiquiris does this recipe make?

This will make about 4 8-oz glasses of peach daiquiri.

If I use fresh peaches, how can I tell if my peach is ripe?

If you decide to use fresh yellow peaches in this recipe, always make sure to use ripe ones. Check that your peach isn’t too pale or firm. You want a peach with a little ‘give.’ It may not seem like a big deal, but trust me, you’ll taste the difference in your daiquiri.

What should I do if my frozen daiquiri is too thick/thin?

Add more ice to the blender if you feel it’s too thin. On the other hand, if you feel it’s too thick, add peach juice by the tablespoon.

Should I chill the glasses before serving the drink?

It’s not completely necessary if you forget, but I find it makes for an extra refreshing experience.

Do you need a sweetener?

A lot of peach daiquiri recipes call for a pinch of sugar, agave nectar, maple syrup, honey, or simple syrup. I don’t feel this recipe needs it in particular due to the schnapps. It’s sweet but tangy and completely perfect, in my opinion! However, if you are using fresh fruit you may need to add a little sweetness, feel free to experiment if need be.
